THE CHIROPRACTIC TEAM

We have spent our careers as chiropractors supporting the health of our local communities

Alison Rigby DC

Alison Rigby Chiropractor
Many of my patients are self employed within a rural community where injury and illness can have an enormous effect on the livelihood of their families.  The success in providing the most appropriate successful long term outcomes for my patients as such gives me considerable personal satisfaction.I am a graduate of the Anglo-European Chiropractic College and have been a a full time chiropractor and for the last 30 years.
I love the work that I do and I think my dedication and drive has helped me create a very successful small rural practice.
I am very grateful for the opportunity to be able to make a difference to my patients and to provide support to the community.

I own, run and manage the Wincanton Chiropractic Clinic, which I have built up into a successful patient orientated practice delivering a range of MSK treatments in the predominantly rural South Somerset catchment area. Outside of my own practice I have been actively involved in wider patient care and support to the community and over the last 20 years have provided NHS funded chiropractic care for patients at Stalbridge surgery.  I currently divide my time between managing and practicing in my own clinic and two local GP’s surgeries where I supply private chiropractic care in support of their local patient health requirements.
I am a member of the British Chiropractic Association and am registered with the General Chiropractic Council.
"I have been seeing Alison on and off since childhood, she's always been there to help me whenever I injure myself/fall off horses! She's also treated most of my family, we all highly recommend!" - Emily

Alana Steer - Sports Massage

Alana Steer sports massage therapist
In 2016 I decided to combine my interests in Sports, Science and Human Biology to study Sports Massage. During my studies in Cardiff, I worked closely with the Royal Marines, the Police Force and various Athletes in South Wales. The thought of being able to help patients prevent injuries and relieve painful muscles and joints is something that is extremely rewarding to me. Sports Massage has allowed me to meet new people and help them with maintaining their overall health, relieve them of stress and increase their mobility. All these components can help patients improve their performance and ability. Following a patient’s progress through assessments and consultations is satisfying to know I have played a part in their recovery or next sporting achievement.
All treatments include an in-depth consultation to ensure a personal treatment plan set to suit your own needs and expectations. I am currently available for appointments in the Wincanton Clinic on Saturday mornings. If you have any questions or would like to book an appointment, please get in touch.

Clare Torday Lic Ac - Acupuncture & Yoga

Clare Torday acupuncture and yoga
I am Clare Torday and I have been practicing acupuncture and Chinese massage for over a decade. I qualified at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture in 2007 and was  fortunate enough to complete my studies at the Hangzhou Medical Centre in China. It was there that I enjoyed the ability to work directly under the Doctors and really understand the grass roots of traditional acupuncture.  I then went on to open  my own London practice in Belgravia.
During this time I concentrated my focus on helping those who were struggling with their busy lifestyles that were causing stress and fatigue.
My family and I made a decision to move to the beautiful county of Somerset where I have continued with my work. During my years in practice I have seen positive results in both physical and mental conditions.
I have a particular interest in working with mental health, addiction and depression, using ear acupuncture as well as the body points. I believe acupuncture can also be invaluable for musculoskeletal conditions as it relaxes muscles and can ease a lot of pain.

I enjoy teaching yoga, which is an amazing way to relax, rehabilitate and strengthen the body. Practiced regularly it will help to maintain health and well being, and support any number of injuries or ailments.
I am now delighted to be able to join the team at Wincanton Chiropractic Clinic and offer my services in both acupuncture and yoga.
